How to add a QR code to your small-business menu or flyer
Printed menus and flyers become outdated quickly. Prices change, specials rotate, hours shift, platforms move. A QR code linked to a static URL means reprinting every time. A dynamic QR code lets you update the destination from your phone without touching the printed material.
What small businesses use it for
- Digital menu link — point table cards or counter cards to your current menu; update when prices or items change
- Weekly specials — redirect the code to this week’s specials page or a social post
- Order or reservation link — link to your online ordering platform; switch platforms without new signage
- Flyer or window sign — repoint the code from a seasonal promotion to the next campaign
Step 1: Enter the menu or flyer URL
Go to KeepQR and paste your menu URL — a PDF, a Google Doc, a Squarespace page, a Toast or Square menu, or any URL you control. A live preview shows the code immediately.
Step 2: Add a recovery email
No account, no login. The management link is the only way to update the destination later. Add a recovery email before paying — it is the only way to recover the link if you lose it. KeepQR shows a warning if you skip this.
Step 3: Choose a tier
| Tier | Price | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| 3-month access | $4.99 once | A short-run promotion, pop-up event, seasonal flyer, or quarter-long campaign |
| No-expiry | $19.99 once | An ongoing menu code on tables or windows; stays active for as long as KeepQR operates |
One-time payment. No monthly fee. No subscription. No auto-renew. No card stored after checkout.
Step 4: Pay and download the print file
Pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or card. Download the print-ready PDF (includes sizing guidance), PNG, or SVG. Use it in:
- Table tent cards or table toppers
- Counter cards or register signage
- Window decals or printed flyers
- Menus (laminated or paper inserts)
Follow the minimum size guidance in the PDF — codes printed too small will not scan reliably.
Step 5: Update the link when your menu or offer changes
Open the management link from any browser. Paste the new URL. Customers who scan the same printed code reach the updated page immediately. No reprinting. No new QR code.
What if my menu platform changes?
Same process — open the management link and paste the new platform’s URL. If you switch from one ordering system to another, your printed signage does not change.
Privacy
Data is never sold or shared — no ads, no analytics resale, no AI training. The management link is private; only you and anyone you share it with can make changes.
Self-serve refund
If KeepQR is not the right fit, request a full refund within 30 days from the management link.
