How to edit a QR code’s destination
If your QR code is dynamic, you can change where it points without reprinting it. Here’s the whole process, start to finish.
1. Confirm your code is dynamic
Only dynamic QR codes can be edited after printing. If you made a static code (the destination baked into the pattern), the only fix is to generate a new code and reprint it. A dynamic code points at a redirect you control, so the printed pattern never has to change.
2. Open your management link
With KeepQR, each code has a private management link created when you make it. It isn’t tied to an account or password and is kept out of search engines — keep it somewhere safe (and add a recovery email so you can retrieve it later).
3. Set the new destination
Paste the new URL into the management page and save. The redirect updates immediately, so every printed copy of the code now opens the new page. You can repoint it as many times as you need — for a wedding that moves from RSVP to photo album, a menu that changes seasonally, or an event flyer reused next year.
4. Test the scan
Scan the printed code with your phone to confirm it lands on the new page. Because the code itself is unchanged, no reprint is needed.
