How to make a fundraiser QR code you can update after printing
Fundraiser materials go out before the campaign goes live and stick around after it ends. A static QR code is locked to one URL — when the campaign page closes or the thank-you page goes up, the code becomes a dead scan. A dynamic QR code lets you redirect it without new print runs.
The fundraiser QR code lifecycle
- Before the campaign — point the code to a landing page, a save-the-date, or a pledge preview
- During the campaign — redirect to the active donation or crowdfunding page
- After the campaign — redirect to a thank-you page, results announcement, or next year’s campaign
- Between campaigns — redirect to a general organization page or set a post-expiry message
All without printing new flyers, posters, or mailers.
Step 1: Enter your starting URL
Go to KeepQR and paste the first URL — your GoFundMe, donation page, or campaign site. A live scannable preview appears immediately so you can confirm the link before paying.
Step 2: Add a recovery email (strongly recommended)
There is no account. Your management link is the only credential that lets you change the destination. If the link is lost, a recovery email is the only way to recover it. KeepQR shows a hard warning if you skip this step — do not skip it, especially on a fundraiser where multiple volunteers might need access later.
Step 3: Choose a tier based on the campaign length
| Tier | Price | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| 3-month access | $4.99 once | A single-month or quarterly campaign — community drive, birthday fundraiser, flash campaign, season-long fundraiser |
| No-expiry | $19.99 once | An annual campaign you run every year; stays active for as long as KeepQR operates |
One-time payment. No auto-renew. No card stored after checkout.
Step 4: Pay once and download the print files
Pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a card. You get a print-ready PDF with sizing guidance plus PNG and SVG. Place the QR code in your:
- Flyers and posters
- Direct-mail letters
- Event programs
- Yard signs or banners (check the minimum size guidance in the PDF for large-format use)
Step 5: Launch your campaign and watch the code work
No further setup needed. Share the printed materials. The code scans to wherever you pointed it.
Step 6: Redirect when the campaign phase changes
Open the management link to update the destination. No reprinting. Donors who scan the old poster or mailer reach the new page.
You can also set a post-expiry fallback message if you chose a timed tier — anyone who scans after expiry sees your message rather than a broken link.
Who should hold the management link?
Store it with your campaign coordinator or executive director. It is just a URL — save it in a shared drive folder or your organization’s password manager. If multiple people need to update it, share the link; anyone with it can make changes.
